The Permanent Life Support (PLS) System from Maquet has been developed to support patients requiring respiratory and/or circulatory support for applications up to 14 days1,3. The system was designed, and is assembled with the minimum number of essential components in order to achieve unobstructed blood flow with less blood damage that contributes to better patient outcomes.

The PLS Set is a pre-connected standard set consisting of the PLS-i oxygenator and the ROTAFLOW centrifugal pump RF-32 both incorporated into a tubing set with tip-to-tip BIOLINE Coating. The HIT Set PLS with SOFTLINE Coating with a duration of use for up to 5 days1,4 is available for patients who are susceptible to heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT).
