• HEMAGARD Knitted has demonstrated long-term durability and resistance to post-operative dilation2
  • Proprietary knit design produces outstanding handling and suturability
  • Low profile velour construction designed to promote optimal healing
  • Proven clinical safety and efficacy

HEMAGARD knitted collagen coated vascular grafts incorporate a highly filamentous, texturized low twist yarn into a stable, reverse locknit construction with excellent handling and suturing characteristics. This results in long-term stability and resistance to dilatation. HEMAGARD Knitted has a burst strength nearly twice that of other knitted polyester collagen impregnated grafts on the market.1 This significantly reduces the potential for postoperative dilatation.2* To promote optimal healing and long term patency, HEMAGARD Knitted grafts have a low profile velour on the external surface.

The HEMAGARD Knitting Technique - Superior Textile Design Long-term stability of graft material is crucial to enduring graft performance. HEMAGARD utilizes a 3-yarn reverse locknit knitting technique. This produces burst strength, radial tensile strength, and suture pull-out strength characteristics which are significantly greater than corresponding statistical values for commercially available collagen impregnated grafts, which utilize a tricot knit.1 The HEMAGARD locknit construction ensures long term stability and reduces the risk of dilatation.2*

* Formally known as the established brand “INTERGARD”, this knitted prosthesis is now rebranded as “HEMAGARD”.
