The innovative MAQUET FLOW-i® is now available with Automatic Gas Control (AGC™), which facilitates low and minimal flow anesthesia. AGC provides staff with an advanced prediction tool for improved efficiency and ease of use in administration of anesthetic gas delivery.

Automatic Gas Control

Once activated, the AGC feature automatically adjusts the fresh gas flow and anesthetic agent supply to a minimum while maintaining the anesthetic target level.

This unique technology provides clinicians with convenient control of the anesthetic delivery process, allowing more time to stay focused on the patient.

AGC prediction tool

One unique feature of AGC is the prediction tool with speed selection, which presents time to end-tidal target and allows staff to estimate, forecast and control the gas delivery more efficiently than most conventional anesthesia systems.

AGC offers:

  • A prediction tool with improved workflow efficiency which enables clinicians to dedicate more time towards the patients.
  • Improved convenience & safety at low and minimal flow anesthesia at all stages of anesthetic administration.
  • Automatized and controlled delivery of anesthetic agent delivery as well as hypoxic safety.
  • Improved control & efficiency of anesthesia delivery by using an EtAA (end-tidal anesthetic agent) and Speed setting, while automatically controlling the fresh gas flow and anesthetic agent supply .
  • Improved control & efficiency of oxygen delivery in all anesthesia situations by a single FiO2 setting, which efficiently delivers the set oxygen concentration to the patient.
  • Low flow anesthesia by automatically adjusting the fresh gas flow and anesthesia agent delivery to the minimal levels once the EtAA has been reached.
  • Potential cost savings due to minimizing fresh gas wastage and unnecessary use of anesthetic agent.
  • A user-friendly touch interface which assists the AGC function by providing clinicians with the ability to have the control right at their fingertips. During AGC the interface also provides a visual prediction tool that makes it easier to understand and manage the entire anesthetic delivery process.

User experience

After securing the airway, a single twist of the knob has your cruising in low flow mode. Low flow anesthesia cannot be made any easier.
