User impressions

It is really easy to find the settings of what you want to do and it is clearly displayed – that is an advantage.

- Intensive Care Physician, Canada

For me, this is a secure investment – a solid product to build on, based on a solid foundation.

- Intensive Care Physician and Researcher, Brazil

This new ventilator can make me more confident in my caregiving... when needed I feel I can use more advanced features without advanced training, for example during on-call hours.

- Pediatric Intensive Care Physician, Finland

A mechanical ventilator with unprecedented levels of speed in sensing and control. Workflows, such as ARDSNet and NAVA®, to support protective ventilation strategies. A highly intuitive touch screen. Context based views, dialogues and recommendations with well-placed shortcuts. Any of these advantages alone would be reason to take a closer look. All of them together? A mechanical ventilator that is a secure investment for the next decade.

Multiple options for protective ventilation

SERVO-U® is the next step forward in making protective ventilation more accessible, understandable and easy to implement. It supports your ability to identify the patient's needs and to act accordingly. It makes clinically documented values, such as VT/PBW and the Edi respiratory vital sign, available on screen and easily trended.

Support for ARDSnet strategiesSupport for ARDSNet strategies

The significance of protective tidal volumes is well documented.1,2,3 SERVO-U automatically calculates tidal volume per kilogram of predicted body weight (VT/ PBW) to help you adhere to ARDSNet protocol strategies. This time-saving new core value is continuously measured and trended, facilitating adjustment of ventilation parameters in all modes.

Decision support with the help of Edi

The Edi respiratory vital sign (Electrical activity of the diaphragm), displayed on screen, helps clinicians track spontaneous breathing efforts. It also supports sedation management in all ventilation modes as well as in standby. This accurate onscreen information allows appropriate and timely response to changing breathing conditions.4,5

Ventilation support synchronized by the patient's brainVentilation support synchronized by the patient's brain

Neurally Adjusted Ventilatory Assist (NAVA) is the ventilation mode that utilizes the Edi signal to provide ventilation support synchronized by the patient brain. The NAVA therapeutic workflow helps the clinician during all stages of NAVA therapy. It includes support for choice of Edi catheter, calculation of insertion length, catheter positioning and NAVA preview to facilitate adjustment of NAVA mode settings.

Inspiring confidence at bedside

The SERVO-U ventilator is designed to enhance user confidence in tailoring treatments to the individual patient condition. It supports you directly at bedside, every step of the way. The menu takes you directly to what you need, while the interface carefully visualizes what you are doing. On screen, context based guidance, like SAFETY SCALE™, tutorials and prompts help you make informed decisions.

Informed decisions at bedsideInformed decisions at bedside

Guidance and other context based information help you understand how the changes you make may affect the patient’s breath. The SAFETY SCALE tool allows for quick changes while providing clear feedback that help you avoid unusual ranges for your patient category.

On screen tutorialsOn screen tutorials

On screen tutorials help you brush up on your knowledge, and support you when applying settings and ventilation modes. Easy to find, and always available bedside in the moment.

Tools to help you evaluate the patient´s conditionTools to help you evaluate the patient´s condition

SERVO-U gives you the opportunity to share patient information for review, research and education. At bedside and at a location of your choice. You can either use the built-in 72 hours trend or use the recording feature. When you make your recording, SERVO-U allows you to capture what just happened, with a pre– and post recording function.

Optimized alarm managementOptimized alarm management

The alarm management system includes short texts that help you respond to alarms. Highlights let you know what values are effected and shortcuts take you directly to what needs change. Managing alarms in a SERVO ventilator has never been easier.

Securing your investment for the future

Purchasing a ventilator is a significant investment, and you want to be confident with your choice. That is why SERVO-U is also designed to grow with you.  You can configure according to your current needs, and upgrade cost-effectively when those needs change, or when new features become available.

MCare® ServicesPerformance from day one with scalable services

MCare® Services add value from day one and ensures that your system operates at peak performance throughout its lifecycle, so that your staff can take advantage of all its features in the best possible way. Furthermore MCare Remote Services and Portal help you monitor and access information on your fleet and Genuine Maquet consumables help guarantee performance.

Ergonomic designErgonomic design provides flexibility

The ergonomic design means the system can be placed to the left or right of the bed. It can also be mounted on a ceiling supply unit, trolley, or on the bed itself.

Interchangeable product modulesInterchangeable product modules

Interchangeable hardware modules and components means the same feature can be used at different times on mixed SERVO ventilator fleets, lowering overall costs.

Part of a groundbreaking ventilator family

The SERVO ventilator family has a history of being groundbreaking. SERVO-U is no different. And physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses and biomeds from all over the world helped us build it. If you haven’t tried SERVO-U yet, please do. We believe it will forever change the way you look at life-supporting devices.

Original Matters

It does not matter how advanced the support platform is if the interface linking its capabilities to the patient is compromised. Choosing genuine Maquet consumables helps ensure that you can take full advantage of the Maquet SERVO ventilators.

Maquet consumables:

  • are fully tested and approved
  • are made of top quality material and design
  • guarantee full capabilities and performance
  • minimize risk for unplanned downtime and ensures optimum performance throughout the system's lifecycle

Maquet has designed a full range of masks, breathing systems/circuits and patient specific interface options for the SERVO ventilators. Each of these options is quality engineered to ensure ongoing access to the platforms’ key support features while promoting better patient comfort and safety.

Filters and humidifiersFilters and humidifiers

The unique Servo Duo Guard filter is specially designed to manage nebulized medications. It can be used for 48 hours without exchange. It also helps to secure a healthy work-environment for your staff and at the same time protects the ventilator, helping ensure a long life time.

Servo humidifiers are optimized to combine high efficiency with low resistance and small volume. The Servo humidifiers come in versions with or without a bacterial/viral filter, humidifying and reducing contamination risk for patient and equipment. Maquet supplies both active and passive humidifiers.

Non-invasive ventilation (NIV) masksNon-invasive ventilation (NIV) masks

The NIV face masks are non-vented and especially designed to help facilitate breathing for patients with acute or chronic respiratory distress or failure. The soft membrane cushion provides a comfortable seal that is easily fitted to your patient. The NIV masks come in a variety of sizes, and are available as reusable or disposable.

Reusable and disposable breathing systemsReusable and disposable breathing systems

The breathing systems are lightweight with smoothbore internal design to minimize flow resistance. Can be fitted with active or passive humidifiers.

Neonatal prongs and masksNeonatal prongs and masks

The Miniflow® system is a complete system for providing NIV NAVA and nasal CPAP. The weight of the Miniflow adapter has been minimized and the noise level of the system is low. The caregiver can alternate between prongs and masks to help avoid complications. Designed to minimize the dead space volume.
